Welcome! 

I am looking forward to the 2007-2008 school year with great anticipation and excitement.  We are very fortunate to have supportive families and community members working together to help each child be successful.  Waltham is very proud of its parents.  Their support has become a key ingredient to our success.  Parents are strongly encouraged to visit the school at every opportunity and volunteer in the classroom or provide the office staff with much needed assistance.  Parents whose work and personal schedules do not allow them to volunteer during the day are encouraged to assist in other ways such as after school activities.  Finally, parents who simply do not have the time to come to school are asked to stay in close contact with their child’s teacher, by phone or e-mail.  We believe that students will perform far better if they know that their parents and teachers are working together toward the same goal.  If you would like to volunteer please contact your child’s teacher at 815-667-4417-Waltham North, or 815-667-4790-Waltham South.
