Ordering Certificates:

Waltham PTCC buys the certificates directly from each of the participating stores.   Each store gives us a 5% discount on their certificates, with the exception of Jewel (2%).  In turn, we sell the certificates at face value.  It costs you NOTHING EXTRA to participate in this program.  ALL PROFIT IS GIVEN TO US BY THE STORES.  You give the certificates to the cashier when you check out.  You may still use any saver’s cards or coupons.  The certificates can be used at any time.  Please buy your groceries and Wal-Mart merchandise with cards and certificates purchased through Waltham Elementary Schools!  Even if you are able to purchase a small certificate amount, please do so.  Every little bit adds up quickly!

Ordering certificates is done through forms sent home weekly, or by calling one of the committee people.  You will receive the certificates the same day they are ordered.  Your child will be handed the envelope as he/she gets off the bus, or you may pick up the certificates at either school.  Certificates may be ordered any day of the week.

HyVee: 

HyVee offers gift cards that look like a credit card and work like a debit card.  Your card is swiped through the register, and your purchase amount is deducted from the total on the card.  You will be told the new balance available each time you use the card.  We usually have three denominations available:  $25, $50, and $100.  Other denominations can be ordered on request.  The cards are good in any HyVee store.  Once it is activated by use, your HyVee card must be used at least once every 6 months.  Please remember Waltham does not receive any credit if you recharge your cards at the store, purchase new cards from the school.

Jewel:

Jewel certificates are available in $25 and $50 denominations.  Other denominations can be ordered on request.  Change will be given in cash up to $5.  If more change is owed to you, it will be given in a gift card..

Kohl's:

Kohl’s gift cards function just like most of our other certificate cards and come in $10, $25, $50 and $100 denominations.  As an added perk, however, these certificates can be used to pay your Kohl’s charge bill.  Simply purchase the amount you need from the school and take your bill and gift cards into the store to make your payment.

Lil' Bella's Pizza:

Lil' Bella's Pizza certificates are available in $10 denominations.  Any unused portion of a certificate is noted as a credit on the certificate, not given as cash.

Steak 'n Steak:

Steak ‘n Shake gift cards function just like most of the other certificate cards and come in $10 and $20 denominations.  Your card is swiped through the register, and your purchase amount is deducted from the card.  Any unused portion will remain on the card as a balance.

Thornton's:

The Thornton’s program works differently from our other cards.  The school orders the cards from Thornton’s pre-loaded with $10 on each of them.  We sell you the card for $10.  You keep the card and recharge it at Thornton’s in $5 increments up to $500.  Unlike HyVee and Wal-Mart, the cards can be used over and over again and recharged any time at the store, so don’t throw them away.  Waltham receives a 6% rebate from sales inside the store and a 2% rebate for fuel purchases.  When you recharge your card, review your receipt before you leave the store to confirm the ending balance.  After each purchase transaction, the cashier can provide you with a receipt that confirms your remaining balance.  An available balance must be on the card before it can be used for payment.

Wal-Mart

We have $10, $25, $50 and $100 cards available.  They work like a debit card.  Your new balance will show on your receipt.  The card is good for any purchase made at any Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club nationwide.  They can be used for your weekly shopping and make great gifts.  Wal-Mart limits us to $1,500 worth of cards each month, so when they’re gone, they’re gone until next month!  Please remember Waltham does not receive any credit if you recharge your cards at the store, purchase new cards from the school.

Target

Target will donate 1% of all purchases paid for with a Target VISA or Target charge card at Target stores and target.com.  Target will also donate ¹/₂% when a Target VISA is used elsewhere.  To participate in this program, you must designate Waltham as the school you would like to receive the donation from your credit card.  Anyone - aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends - can designate Waltham as their school of choice.
